Villa Payangan

Villa Payangan is a secluded and stylish retreat in the cool hills of central Bali, 20 km to the north of Ubud. The villa consists of nine buildings with traditional alang-alang (thatch) roofs, set in 3000m² of tropical gardens over a hillside with wonderful views stretching to the volcanoes of western Bali. The villa can accommodate 8-10 people in five spacious and independent villas, each with an iron four-poster bed and a Balinese garden bathroom.

Our accommodation consists of five independent villas, each of about 30 m² with a four poster wrought iron double bed and a large garden bathroom with waterfall. Each villa is set in its lush tropical garden, and has traditional Balinese alang-alang (thatch) roofing and stone floors. The villas are decorated simply but tastefully

The View
Each villa is orientated towards Bali's chain of central mountains and offers a spectacular view from every vantage point. It's worth rising early just to see sculptured rice terraces and towering palms against a mountain backdrop. Discover the sense of calm that the morning countryside projects at sunrise whilst sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee in your personal environment. The garden is spacious and fully landscaped with an abundance of trees, ferns and tropical plants.

Dining
Our chef prepares high quality Indonesian and international food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wine, beer, , juices, and soft drinks are served. Feel free to place your special requests with our chef in advance.

Swimming Pool and Hot Tub
The villa has a beautiful and private pool of 10 x 5 m, with two bale bengong (pavilions) and a grassed area for sunbathing. We also have a hot tub next to the pool.

Television and Games Room
Satellite television is available in our games room together with a DVD player and a games console, traditional board games and a library of DVDs, books and magazines.

Local Attractions
The attractions of Ubud are also 30 minutes from the villa by car, with a number of fine restaurants and spas between the villa and Ubud.
Villa Payangan is approximately one hour's drive from the beaches of Sanur, and the same time from the North and North East coast of the island.

Transport
We arrange transport to and from the airport. We can also provide a vehicle and driver at other times, at reasonable rates.

Internet and Telephone
To further enhance your holiday mood, we have no GPRS internet connection. Broadband is available at internet cafes in Ubud.. There is mobile phone coverage (GSM) of variable quality. Blackberries and similar GPRS handsets work well at the villa
